Beervana 2026
Beervana is back at Hnry Stadium on 21 and 22 August 2026, across four sessions: Friday and Saturday, morning and afternoon. Tickets are on sale now through iTicket and the popular sessions do sell out.
This is the anchor of the New Zealand beer year. Legendary breweries pouring fresh, a pile of one-off festival beers brewed specifically for the weekend, roaming entertainment and food. People fly in from around the country and overseas for it.
In Beervana’s words
The world’s weirdest and most wonderful beer festival returns to Hnry Stadium, Wellington on 21+22 August 2026. For two glorious days, across four massive sessions, Hnry Stadium transforms into a full-blown beer universe celebrating craft beer, creativity, chaos and bloody good times.
The details
- Dates: Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026
- Sessions: four in total, morning and afternoon on each day
- Where: Hnry Stadium, 105 Waterloo Quay, Wellington
- Tickets: beervana.co.nz or direct via iTicket
A note if you brew: the festival beers are the reason to go rather than the familiar core range. Breweries use Beervana to try things they cannot justify in a normal production slot, so it is the one place you will find genuinely experimental New Zealand beer all in one room. Take notes, pace yourself across the session, and pick a few stands to actually talk to rather than trying to cover the floor.
Worth planning the whole weekend around. Garage Project’s Wild Workshop & Friends runs Thursday to Sunday alongside it, and plenty of Wellington bars put on their own thing.
