Special Tasting Event - Hotrods and Lager

Something a bit different for September: a combined brewing and distilling social with a BBQ, a craft beer and spirits tasting, and a garage full of hot rods.

This one runs like our style-session brew challenges, but it is bigger than a members-only night. We are bringing the brewing and distilling sides of the hobby together, so whether you brew, distill, or are just keen to learn something new, this is the night to come along.

Brew Challenge: brew your own version of BRB’s Laid-Back Lager and bring it along for a fun side-by-side tasting.

Target recipe:

• 17 IBU
• Pilsner malt
• Pacific Jade, Dr Rudi, Motueka and Wakatu hops

September is not far away for a lager, so get it in the fermenter early.

If you make spirits, we would love you to bring along a whisky, rum, gin, or other creation to share (responsibly). Experienced distillers and the simply curious are equally welcome.

Bring your brews, your competition lager, and something for the grill or a plate of your finest kai to share.
