Weyermann® Chocolate Rye Malt is a specialty roasted rye malt crafted from premium German rye. Produced using a gentle roasting process, this malt provides a deep brown color and a refined yet bold roasted aroma. Sensory notes include mild coffee, chocolate, nut, nougat, and dark bread crust. It’s ideal for rich rye beers, imperial stouts, porters, and multigrain or historic brews like Sathi or Kvass. Recommended usage up to 5%, with higher inclusion possible for special styles.
