Weyermann® Chocolate Wheat Malt is a roasted specialty malt made from premium German wheat. Through a gentle roasting process, this malt achieves a high color intensity while delivering a refined flavor profile. Expect rich sensory notes of dark chocolate, coffee, mild roasted bread, and subtle sweetness without the bitterness often associated with husk-based roasted malts. It’s ideal for creating deep, complex top-fermented wheat styles, strong ales, stouts, porters, and historical beer styles where smooth roasted characteristics are essential. It provides not only color but contributes to mouthfeel, head retention, and malt complexity even in small quantities. Recommended usage is up to 5%. Shelf life is 24 months unopened when stored between 0°C and 30°C in a dry environment.
