Hop

Alora

Alora™ is a new-generation dual-purpose hop developed by Hopsteiner and released in recent years to offer a well-balanced combination of aroma and bitterness with a versatile flavor profile.

Aroma & Flavor
Fruit & Citrus: Alora™ delivers bright and clean citrus notes, featuring grapefruit, orange, and subtle lemon qualities. It also exhibits a delicate tropical fruit character with hints of mango and melon.

Floral & Herbal: The hop shows soft floral undertones alongside mild herbal notes that add complexity and depth without overpowering the fruit character.

Spice & Earth: There is a subtle spicy quality, reminiscent of mild pepper or clove, balanced by a faint earthiness that anchors the aromatic profile.

Resin & Pine: While not aggressively piney, Alora™ offers a smooth, clean resinous backdrop that enhances bitterness and hop mouthfeel.

Brewing Characteristics
Alpha Acid Content: Moderate, typically around 7–9%, suitable for balanced bitterness in a wide range of beer styles.

Usage: Performs well in early kettle additions for clean bitterness and in late kettle, whirlpool, or dry-hop applications to maximize its aromatic qualities.

Versatility: Ideal for IPAs, Pale Ales, Belgian styles, and lighter lagers where nuanced fruit and floral aromas are desired.

Summary
Alora™ hop is a versatile, dual-purpose variety that blends bright citrus and tropical fruit aromatics with gentle floral, herbal, and subtle spice notes. Its balanced bitterness and clean resinous finish make it an excellent choice for brewers aiming for complexity without overpowering intensity.
